Blogmas #8: Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye Shadow Review

Monday, December 08, 2014

Another review now and it's being posted during 'Blogmas' as my thoughts on the colour were along the lines of "snowflake fairy pink", but I'll let you be the judge of that.

Today, I'm going to talk all about Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in the shade 'Pink Gold'.

I have mentioned my love of 'On and On Bronze' before and because of that, I decided to dive deeper into this range's pool by purchasing 'Pink Gold' as part of a weekend haul.

After getting over my O.C.D. and ruining the beautiful untouched look - whilst internally screaming I might add, bad times - I found that the formula was like 'On and On Bronze'. It's super soft and creamy, making it easy to pick up using my finger and is easily blendable. One fell swoop on the the lids gives a sheer wash of colour or it can be built up for a bolder and brighter shade. The longevity is ace and because it is quite thick, it lasts all day without much disappearance and doesn't end up collecting in the crease.

The colour itself is a lovely soft metallic pink that has a little gold shimmer to it, although I didn't find any fall down of glitter throughout the day - always a bonus! It's wearable but I wouldn't say it goes with every outfit; I like pairing it with whites and blacks most, just to add a splash of colour.

Another fab colour from a brilliant range and I can't wait to experiment further with it over the festive season.

Have you tried any of Maybelline's Color Tattoo Eyeshadow range? Does 'Pink Gold' make you think of some sort of snowflake fairy (please say yes!!)?
