We've all seen it happen. Our lovely makeup drawers and storage change from looking beautifully neat to an absolute cluttered nightmare. It then takes hours to locate that one lipstick you need or the eye shadow you fancy and by the time you've found everything, you've pretty much torn your hair out. If this has happened to you recently or is happening to you, help is at hand! This post will hopefully give you a few tips and tricks to organising your beauty stash and to have you feeling happiness when you open up that drawer again.
If you were to ask me what my weakness was when it comes to makeup, I would tell you two things. Lipsticks and eye shadow palettes. Seriously, I am slightly obsessed with both and my stashes are ever-growing. So when I see a reasonably priced and delicately pretty looking eye shadow palette, it has to be mine.
Happy days! Birchbox's September Edition has arrived and it's all about thinking of those great memories from the Summer, as well as making new ones as Autumn approaches.
I have made it through another week of the Change4Life Couch to 5K program - hurrah! I'm not going to lie, this second week felt difficult but I'll get to that in a moment.
The second week of the app, again, consists of three mini-programs but they have stepped up the ante since the first week. Each session began with a brisk 5 min walk to warm up, followed by alternating between 90 seconds of running and 2 min of walking for 20 min and was then finished off by another brisk 5 min walk to cool down.
I'm sorry it's been a bit quiet on the blogging front but I've had a few personal things to deal with and was then overcome by the throat monster known as Tonsillitis and it's meant that I just haven't been finding the motivation to write posts. But, alas! I come back bearing some good news and I'm ready and raring to go.
It's official. Autumn has arrived and I'm ready and raring for the season, with my nails to reflect. This week, Sally Hansen 'Raisin The Bar' is making an appearance and it looks really chic.
For Christmas last year, my Mum bought day tickets to Kew Gardens as a present for my Gran, my Aunty Lesley and myself. After eventually organising a free Saturday a few weeks ago, we found ourselves making the journey to London once again.
I'd never visited Kew Gardens before but being massive lover of nature and discovering new places, I was really looking forward to the day. We set off reasonably early to ensure we made a full day of it and despite the weather forecast being grim, our spirits were high.
August was a much quieter month than July for me. But it's actually been lovely, as it's meant I've been able to have a much needed rest and time to myself, as well as, being able to catch up on some things at home.
Last weekend though, myself and some of my family decided to drag ourselves out of the house and went for the most delightful stroll through the woods at our local country park.

Yes, that's right, you read that I am going to be doing the Couch to 5K program. In fact, I have just completed my first week - go me!
Those who know me will be thinking to themselves that this is completely unlike 'me'; I am not a fitness junkie nor have I ever been. I did have a spat last year where I started going to the gym, but after an on-going back problem, I stopped and never found the motivation to go back. But alas! The motivation is back on board and I'm excited for the coming weeks!
With the weather being pretty rubbish the past couple of weeks - rain, wind and cold temperatures, what was going on August?! - I've definitely been starting to feel Autumn coming on. If you saw my Autumnal Additions post from yesterday, you'll know that I recently picked up some warmer nail colours to match the changing season. You'll also know that whilst writing that post, I had OPI's 'Got The Blues For Red' drying on my nails and it is b-e-a-utiful!
Have you ever sorted through your beauty stash, realised it was geared towards one or two seasons in particular and simply thought "oops!"? Well this happened to me a couple of weekends ago, when it occurred to me that all my makeup was perfect for Spring and Summer, with nothing for the colder months approaching. I decided that this had to change - as I'm sure a lot of you like-minded gals out there would have also done! - and thus evenings of trawling the internet for products, reviews, swatches and all that jazz ensued.
