Jo Malone 'Wood Sage & Sea Salt'

If you read about the new additions to my makeup routine, you'll know that I recently ventured to the Bullring Shopping Centre and Selfridges in particular. Well, after making my Bobbi Brown and Mac purchases - post coming soon - I found myself meandering over to the Jo Malone section.

As I said before in my 'Signature Scent' post, I'm not one for buying very expensive fragrances but with some Christmas treat money spare and after many, many months of wanting to purchase a Jo Malone spray, I decided to have a look, or sniff as it were, at what they had to offer.

I did some spraying, some sniffing and found that I had a particular liking for one of the newer offerings, 'Wood Sage & Sea Salt'. Despite my inner-self screaming at me to make the sale then and there, I walked away and continued my shopping day whilst continually "umming" and "ahhing" over whether to make the much-wanted sale.

On the way back to my car, I decided to stop once more and told myself to have another spray and if I still liked it as much as I did the first time, then I would use up the rest of the Christmas money and get a 30ml bottle. Surprise, surprise; I did. In fact, I liked it even more that time round and a few minutes later, I was holding the gorgeous bag that I had only dreamed about prior to the trip.

The notes of this particular fragrance are somewhat wonderful and completely capture the quintessential ideas of the British seaside. It's woody undertones and slightly salty notes make for a fresh and light scent and one that could even be classed as uni-sexual as it has a touch of masculinity.

With it's rather steep price tag, I am saving this one for the more special occasions but it could also be used for an everyday kinda-scent. Only a couple of spritz's are needed to have achieve the incredible smell, that then lasts all day, meaning it is very much worth the money.

I absolutely adore my new Jo Malone fragrance and as it was my first ever, I think it was a choice well made. Although I imagine it won't be any time soon, I am very much looking forward to exploring the world of Jo Malone more and excited to see what I'll pick up next.

Have you tried Jo Malone's 'Wood Sage & Sea Salt'? Do you have any Jo Malone recommendations for me to try out in the future?
