Nails of the Week #15

Wednesday, October 22, 2014

It's official. I am full on embracing the darker nail shades this season. This week was no different when I decided to try another colour from the French Connection Collection.

If you read my previous post, you'll know that I loved the colour but wasn't overly impressed with the quality. I'm afraid to say that the case is still this same with this shade.

The colours in this collection are not named but I was drawn to the deep purple and I like it! It's a sophisticated looking lacquer and perfect for the Fall. Unfortunately, the quality is nicht sehr gut. The consistency is thin so takes a bit of layering up to get the desired effect and it doesn't last at all well, with a couple of chips appearing the day after application!

Like I said with the pink one, I will use it again but only because of the lovely colour.  The quality really does let this collection down, which is such a shame.

What's on your nails this week?

  2. Have you tried putting a good topcoat on it to stop the chips?

    1. Thanks for your comment. I do use top coats but if I'm trying out a new varnish, I try to test it without top coat for a few days to give a true review. But the next time I wear it, I'll be making sure I have a good top coat to try protect it more :)
